There are several options for patients and compounded eye medications.
The most comon items that we prepare are "fortified " antibiotic eye drops, and preservative free solutions. Fortified drops are stronger than the usual antibiotics. Several patients cannot tolerate the preservatives in commercial eye preparations.
For some special cases, we have prepered injections that go directly into the eye. This type of therapy can only done by the physician, in the office.
