Founded in 1998 by father daughter Pharmacist duo Dr. Thomas and Dr. Dana Reed‑Kane, Pharm.D., Reed’s Compounding Pharmacy brings together more than two decades of compounding expertise. The team is passionate about offering customized medications that aren’t commercially available and are formulated to meet each patient’s clinical needs.
Reed’s specializes in preparing tailored dosage forms, including capsules, creams, transdermal gels, flavored suspensions, troches, and more, for patients and pets. Their compounding process is designed to exclude common allergens such as gluten, dyes, lactose, gelatin, peanuts, corn, soy, and preservatives.
At Reed’s Compounding Pharmacy, women’s health is a cornerstone of care. Led by Pharm.D. Dana Reed-Kane, who has advanced training in hormone replacement therapy, menopause, infertility, PMS, and osteoporosis, our team provides personalized solutions designed to meet each woman’s unique needs. Through in-depth consultations, we take the time to listen, educate, and collaborate with providers, ensuring every patient receives guidance and treatment tailored to her health goals. Dr. Dana Reed-Kane
Pharmacist in Charge
Dr. Dana Reed-Kane brings more than two decades of advanced compounding expertise to Reed’s Compounding Pharmacy. A fourth-generation pharmacist, she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona in 1996. In 1998, she and her father, Thomas Reed, opened Reed’s Compounding Pharmacy, where they have proudly served Tucson and Southern Arizona with personalized medication solutions ever since.
Dr. Reed-Kane is nationally recognized for her deep commitment to women’s health. She has completed extensive specialty training, received multiple certifications, and attended numerous courses focused on women’s health and hormone balance. In addition to coordinating educational seminars of her own, she speaks both nationally and internationally to consumers and healthcare professionals on topics including menopause, PMS, infertility, female sexual dysfunction, osteoporosis, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Her clinical expertise extends into fertility care as well. Dr. Reed-Kane is accredited as a Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner and Pharmacist Consultant through the Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in partnership with Creighton University School of Medicine. She has also contributed to the advancement of the compounding field through published articles in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding.
With a strong focus on hormone replacement therapy for women, Dr. Reed-Kane provides in-depth consultations to help patients and providers navigate complex hormonal concerns. She has a profound understanding of how hormone balance, nutrition, and physiological changes influence menopausal symptoms, libido, bone health, energy levels, and overall wellbeing. Her goal is always the same: to help patients achieve their wellness goals and improve their quality of life through personalized care.
Outside the pharmacy, Dr. Reed-Kane is married and the proud mother of two children, who keep her busy when she’s not supporting patients in their health journeys.
