Director of Clinical Hormone Services, Pharmacy Innovations
Zoom Heaton is a dedicated healthcare professional with a profound passion for functional medicine, hormone optimization, and patient empowerment. A 1992 graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Zoom spent the first decade of her career gaining diverse pharmacy experience. Driven by a deep commitment to patient care and continuous learning, she earned her credentials as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) early in her professional journey.
Her clinical skills were further sharpened during her time working directly within a physician’s practice, where she managed and educated the clinic's entire diabetes patient population. This hands-on experience instilled in her a lasting dedication to comprehensive, patient-centered care and highlighted the immense value of personalized health education.
In 2003, Zoom launched her entrepreneurial journey by establishing TLC Medical Centre Pharmacy, an independent retail pharmacy located within a pediatric practice. Demonstrating strong clinical vision and business resilience, she expanded the enterprise six years later into a standalone, 5,600-square-foot health resource center and launched Custom Prescription Compounders, LLC. This expansion allowed Zoom to significantly broaden her clinical scope, focusing heavily on advanced compounding services, tailored hormone therapy management, personalized skincare consultations, and specialized veterinary medications.
To provide her patients with a truly holistic blueprint for wellness, she also introduced advanced diagnostic testing to identify hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, genetic variations, cardiovascular risks, and gastrointestinal issues.
Driven to stay at the forefront of metabolic and regenerative health, Zoom pursued advanced postgraduate training, earning her Board Certification (ABAAHP) and Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine (FAAMM) through the prestigious American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). This specialized expertise allows her to expertly address complex, root-cause health issues, including adrenal dysfunction, thyroid disorders, weight management, and autoimmune conditions.
After two decades of successful pharmacy ownership and clinical practice, Zoom transitioned her wealth of experience into corporate clinical leadership. Today, she serves as the Director of Clinical Hormone Services for Pharmacy Innovations. In this role, Zoom seamlessly bridges the gap between practitioners and patients, leveraging her extensive clinical knowledge and coaching expertise to inspire, educate, and guide individuals on their journey to optimal health and vitality.
