Zoom Heaton, RPh, CDCES, ABAAHP, FAAMFM
Director of Clinical Hormone Services, Pharmacy Innovations
Zoom Heaton is a dedicated healthcare professional with a profound passion for functional medicine, hormone optimization, and patient empowerment. A 1992 graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, Zoom spent the first decade of her career gaining diverse pharmacy experience. Driven by a deep commitment to patient care and continuous learning, she earned her credentials as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) early in her professional journey.
Her clinical skills were further sharpened during her time working directly within a physician’s practice, where she managed and educated the clinic's entire diabetes patient population. This hands-on experience instilled in her a lasting dedication to comprehensive, patient-centered care and highlighted the immense value of personalized health education.
In 2003, Zoom launched her entrepreneurial journey by establishing TLC Medical Centre Pharmacy, an independent retail pharmacy located within a pediatric practice. Demonstrating strong clinical vision and business resilience, she expanded the enterprise six years later into a standalone, 5,600-square-foot health resource center and launched Custom Prescription Compounders, LLC. This expansion allowed Zoom to significantly broaden her clinical scope, focusing heavily on advanced compounding services, tailored hormone therapy management, personalized skincare consultations, and specialized veterinary medications.
To provide her patients with a truly holistic blueprint for wellness, she also introduced advanced diagnostic testing to identify hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, genetic variations, cardiovascular risks, and gastrointestinal issues.
Driven to stay at the forefront of metabolic and regenerative health, Zoom pursued advanced postgraduate training, earning her Board Certification (ABAAHP) and Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine (FAAMM) through the prestigious American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). This specialized expertise allows her to expertly address complex, root-cause health issues, including adrenal dysfunction, thyroid disorders, weight management, and autoimmune conditions.
After two decades of successful pharmacy ownership and clinical practice, Zoom transitioned her wealth of experience into corporate clinical leadership. Today, she serves as the Director of Clinical Hormone Services for Pharmacy Innovations. In this role, Zoom seamlessly bridges the gap between practitioners and patients, leveraging her extensive clinical knowledge and coaching expertise to inspire, educate, and guide individuals on their journey to optimal health and vitality.
Dr. Diane Boomsma PharmD
Dr. Diane Boomsma, Pharmacist and Co-Owner of Custom Prescriptions of Lancaster County, brings more than 40 years of pharmacy experience to Pharmacy Innovations, with extensive expertise in personalized compounding, hormone health, and patient education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Duquesne University and later received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Shenandoah University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Boomsma has been deeply involved in advancing the practice of compounding pharmacy. She has served in leadership roles with the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists, including as a member of its Board of Directors and as the organization's president. She has also served on the editorial board of the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding and has published articles covering topics such as hormone therapy and pain management.
Dr. Boomsma has shared her expertise with healthcare professionals and patients through presentations at the local, national, and international levels, including educational programs focused on compounded medications, hormone therapy, women's health, and pain management.
During consultations, she draws on decades of clinical and compounding experience to help patients better understand their medication options, prepare for conversations with their healthcare providers, and explore whether personalized compounded medications may be appropriate for their individual needs.
Dana Reed-Kane Pharm.D., NFPPh.C., FCP, FAPC
Pharmacist and co-owner of Pharmacy Innovations Reed’s Compounding Pharmacy, Dana Reed-Kane graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arizona in 1996 and is a fourth generation pharmacist. She founded and created Reed's with her late father, Thomas C. Reed in 1998. At Reed’s, they specialize in men’s and women’s health.
Dana has a passion for women’s health. She has attended dozens of specialty courses in women’s health, hormone replacement therapy as well as coordinated seminars on her own. She speaks both nationally and internationally to both lay and health care professionals on topics such as menopause, PMS, infertility, osteoporosis and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
She has obtained accreditation as a Creighton Model Fertility Care Practitioner and Pharmacists Consultant through the Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in association with Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She is also an author and has had numerous articles published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding.
Specialties
Dana specializes in hormone replacement therapy for women. She also consults and helps providers treat patients. She has a keen understanding of the importance of hormone balance for men and women and how changes can affect individuals resulting in pain, changes in libido, osteoporosis and overall changes in general well being.
